Any height restrictions? The back of the conservatory is bolted to your house wall brickwork through a wall plate. If the your house wall is to low a hipped back conservatory is required this is where a special gutter, called a box gutter is bolted to the house and the conservatory roof slopes down into the gutter at the rear. This occurs normally when you are fitting the conservatory to a single storey extension (click to see example).

A standard lean too conservatory has a height at the back of 2400mm or 8 feet.

A standard Edwardian/Victorian roof has a ridge height of 3200mm.
